ACE Conference and Exhibition
Leading association of executives recognise the Capital’s value as a major business destination.
Brendon Ward, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Society of Association Executives (AuSAE), was thrilled with the venue choice for ACE (AuSAE Conference and Exhibition) 2016. Brendon says, 'Thanks NCCC for having ACE 2016 at your place.'
ACE brings together more than 390 leaders from the association sector, to provide a platform for delegates to be inspired, boost knowledge, challenge thinking and engage with peers. The conference program delivers what's current and what's on the horizon for association organisations.
Conference organiser, Kerrie Lucas, was delighted with the professionalism of the team at the National Convention Centre Canberra. 'They were fantastic from start to finish. They stayed connected throughout the planning process and operationally provided a wonderful handover with on the ground staff over the two-day conference,' said Kerrie.
The National Convention Centre Canberra's in-house production team, Encore Event Technologies, were brought in at the planning stage of the conference to lend their expertise and assistance. For the first time, AuSAE filmed a live event at the conference which required more production than usual. 'The Encore Event Technologies team was wonderful to work with, always really responsive and helpful, from planning through to delivery of the conference. The set up in each meeting room encouraged learning and networking among delegates. The closeness the Exhibition Hall and breakout session rooms worked particularly well and provided a collegial feel among delegates,' said Kerrie. Nikhil Jain, the Executive Chef at the National Convention Centre Canberra, showcased menus inspired by local produce. Interactive cooking stations enabled delegates to engage with chefs.
'The live cooking stations and themed food groups each day added another exciting element to the conference and gave everyone something to talk about,' said Kerrie.
'The team at the National Convention Centre Canberra were fantastic. From planning to execution, every staff member I spoke to was kind, attentive and really wanted the best for us and our experience. You can tell the team has been at the NCCC for a long time. Their delivery from start to finish was flawless. Over the two days, the team really felt like an extension of the AuSAE team.'
